  1. They Live very Isolated and away from civilization where as I live in a civilization. They also have wild mooses roaming around the city. This would never happen where I live.

  2. The lives of the Anuktuvak Pass people are very different than mine. They mainly eat caribou, use caribou for clothes and do many other things with caribou, where I can go to supermarkets like Walmart and buy a lot of different foods and clothes.

  3. My life is very different from the people who live in the Anuktuvak Pass. I agree with Morse27 because I would not like to just eat caribou. I like having a variety of foods. Also I would not like to where the same clothes they did.

  4. The people of the Anaktuvak Pass are very different. They mainly eat and use caribou (for clothing and shelter) like Morse27 said. Here you can go to many stores and resturaunts to eat. They have wild animals like caribou roaming around as well. Although they are very different from us, they still have cable t.v and internet like how we do. They also need the same things to live because after all, they are still humans.

  5. In Anaktuvak Pass the people live very different from people today. They live in a very Isolated place unlike most of people today. Also even though they have stores, eletric and other things today some disid not to use them. They hunt there own carraboes for clothes and food. Also They use water from nearby rivers and streams and they have plants there to use to eat. They diside to live where they do today because of the water, plants, and carraboe.

  6. The Anaktuvak Pass people are a lot different then my life today. They use a lot of caribou for many different things in life. They eat it and use it to make clothing. They have to wait to find their food so they may have to go days without eating. Where as i may go to the store and buy clothes anytime or buy food whenever I'm hungry.

  7. The people who live in Anaktuvak pass are very different than how I live. First off, they live isolated, the only way to get there is a very tough and long walk or by aircraft. The place where I live can easily be accessed by any form of transportation. These people also traveled a lot to different places but they settled there. I don't around to a lot of places. They have a very small population of only 340 and they like to rough it a little since they use caribou for clothing and where I live we have a huge population compared to them and we live in a modern civilization. They don't have the electricity and electronics like we have here. But we are very similar in a way. We all need food, water, and shelter and we are all humans.

  8. I noticed some differences, as well as some similarities between my life and the people of Anaktuvak's life. One difference is that they use caribou for things, like food, and clothing. If the caribou don't come for a while, they could run into trouble (like Morse27 said). Here in Maryland, we could just go to the store , and buy whatever we want, whenever we want. A similarity I noticed, was they have cable TV and internet access. This keeps them in touch with the rest of the world.

  9. The Anatuvak people are different from our life today. They mostly depend on caribou for food. They also have large mosquitoes. They are similair to us because they wear normal clothing. Also they have a local store to buy food from if need be. Anatuvak pass is only accessible by plane or a very long walk.

  10. there live really realates with mine they hunt to get food there having a hard time but it also contrasts like morse 27 said eating animals to get clothes and shelter is a little out there

  11. The Anaktuvak Pass people live a very different life than I do. They live in a very remote place with so many mosquitoes that I would never want to live in, but they chose that place because of its fresh water and caribou. In my life, I don't need to worry about food or water being around, or whether I should go out and hunt, since I can just go to the supermarket and eat whatever I want. But even though I would rather live like I do, they probably prefer to live the way they do and enjoy it.

  12. The Anaktuvak Pass people are a lot different then the people today and me. I in our area for most of us we don't have a lot of land. As you could see in the picture there was a lot of land that the caribou ran in. Also I doesn't get as cold. Since it is further away from the equater. While we live closer to the equater.

  13. The anaktuvak pass people lived very differently than I do. they used caribou for clothes, food and houseing.they got water from nearby streams while we just get it.
they also have to what to get there food and it's also hardwork while we just get are food from the grocery store. I can observe that we are very different than them.

  14. Their life is very much dependent on caribou unlike ours where we just have to go to the supermarket to get while they need to hunt. They have cable like us but that is theyre ONLY connection to the outside world unlike us how we have the internet. They also have regular houses like us.

  15. I'm very diffrent from the Anaktuvak Pass people. I dont eat carribou or dress in its fur. And I am definatially not isolated.

    ReplyDelete
  16. the Anaktuvak Pass people depend mainly on caribu for there food. they live in a very remote town. But they are still connected to the world with cable tv and internet connection. there live are very diffferent from ours but yet we are still alike

  17. The people in Anatuvak Pass live very different compared to us.For example, theyy are very isolated , while we live in communities. Also they have to eat different things then us such as Carribou. But they even eat meat different then us , when they eat meat they eat every part of it.Those are some differences between us and the people in Anatuvak Pass and there are many more.

  18. For food they depend on the caribou but we are very different if we need more food we just go to supermarkets instead of hunting. Their only connectio nt oteh outside world is cabel unlike us. They are very isloated frmo the rest of the world. But we still have old traditions in common.

  19. The way I live and the way the Anaktuvak Pass people are very different. They depend on the caribou for food, shelter, and clothes. I on the other hand can go anywhere i would like to go to get food and shelter. And I already live in a shelter made of bricks. They also act as if a moose walking around their village was normal, like a dog is to us. I do not think that we have any moose around here in Walkersville. (It's either that, or i am seriously not paying enough attention to my surroundings)

  20. I think the people who live in Anaktuvak Pass have a very different lifestyle than I do.One example is that, like Morse7 said, they are very isolated from other civilizations.Another example is they have a tiny population compared to mine. There are only 340 residents in Anaktuvak pass! Also they have to rely on hunting to get most of their necessities. If I need something,I can just go down to the local store and get it.My life is so much different than their lives.

  21. SIMULARITIES- we are all people (odviously)and it does get cold here to, have cable TV, have internet connection

DIFFERENCES- different herritage, I don't live in Alaska, i don't ware fir cloths, not isolated, don't eat caribou, the name of our town doesn't have anything to do with animal droppings.

  22. there way of life is completely different from ours and morse 7 is right nothing like that would happen here they live so remote and raise thier food.

  23. Are lives are different than their lives for many reasons. For example we just get are food from the grocery store while they hunt for there food cause there are no stores or very little shops where they live. They also rely on amimal furs for chothing. We just go to the mall. Another difference is that they are nomads and move around while we usally stay in one place. Lastly, the town I live does not have a name that means the same as cariboo droppings!!!Yet we both have cable tv and internet acess. As you can see we are mostly unlike each other but yet have a few similarities in are own ways!!!

  24. I think the people who live in Anaktuvak Pass have a very different lifestyle then ours overall, although there are some simularities between us. For example, it does get cold her.... and they have some things we have like cable T.V. But they have to work hard to survive. They hunt and eat things like carabou, they wear thick fur clothes, they have different traditions, ect. Lastly; as Morse22 said, one of our towns would not have a name meaning anything close to animal droppings! :3

  25. I also agree with Morse27. Our lifes are very different in many ways, like their diet. They hunt and eat things like deer or carabou. They wear thick coat made out of fur, and very different customs then we do. But I also think there are some simularites between us, like sometimes it gets very cold here, or how they have cable. We are very different and simular!

  26. I thin it is remarkable that there people are living in such a way the I probably could'nt survive in for a week. It is just astonishing of how our lives and their lived differentiate in such a big way.

  27. Their way of life is so much harder than ours. They hunt caribou to live and I wouldn't want to live in a place where I would have to hunt every time I got hungry. There are similarities though; they have internet just like us.

    ReplyDelete
  28. They live very different from us because they still hunt for food, which is mostly caribou. They also live in a small isolated town. But we are similar because we all have internet and cable.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow, they have a hard time. Some choose to shop, but most choose to hunt. I wouldnt like having to hunt, especially caribou, and I wouldn't want to have it everyday, I mean no variety. They are very isolated. You have to ride a plane or take a VERY long walk. They do have Internet and Cable like us though...which is pretty amazing.

  30. As everybody else I aswell agree with morse 27. Our and my life(s) are Very diffrent from the Anaktuvak people like eating caribou and haveing the skin as clothes. but we have cable & internet like us!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think they are very similar yet so different. We are similar because we both have modern technology, but they are very remote and they rely on caribou, but they can go shopping. They also have those mosquitosthat just freak me out. I wouldn't be able to live that far away from everyone else. We,re lucky we live so close to the world in unremote areas.

  32. I think the people of Anaktuvak live very different lives than us, but are somewhat alike. We're different because they are very iscolated and live in a very small town surrounded by mountains, plus they rely on caribou and a very small river for food and water, and have a small store to shop at. But I live in a large community with many people, and I have fresh water and stores to shop at all the time, although I do rely on nature for some food. Both of us also have cable TV and internet access which connects them to the outer world. So as you can see, we are somewhat alike.

  33. I think there is a huge difference between Anaktuvak and the U.S. The people in Anaktuvak don't waste their food at all like we do, say they had a caribou, they wouldn't waste it. I think they eat like this because you should be thankful for what you have, some people don't even have food so they starve. They also us animal skins as clothing, but we rarely do because we have malls and stores that have clothing. Anaktuvak people can do the same, but they want to keep their culture too. There are similarities too like we have internet and cable, and they have them too. I wish I could see how they live one day if I were to step in their shoes!

  34. I think the Anaktuvak peple are alike and difrent from us becuase they still survive on caribou but they live in are kind of houses. They also live in the middel of now where and there's no roads but they use internet and cabel tv.
